Information On This Song[]

This Hardship Ballad tells the story of a Boll Weevil that was ravaging a farm. This ballad almost depicts them Boll Weevil as a demon of sorts, adding a supernatural element to it. There are many Boll Weevil songs, but this one is relatively unique. Some of the lines contained in this are found in some texts of other songs, but the meter is completely different.
